I haven't posted here recently, but the PS customer list has expanded greatly in the last year or so.

Our latest Probe Software installations include Boeing (JEOL 8530) and Texas A&M (Cameca SXFIVE):

We don't generally post anything when we have a new lab installation, but we might start since our customer list has expanded greatly in the last two years. The latest installation is the National Energy Technology Laboratory, in Albany, OR on a JEOL 8530.

If you click this link:

http://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

and scroll to the bottom of the list, you will see the most recent Probe for EPMA/Probe Image installations that our specialists have performed.

Julien Allaz contacted us recently, and I'm somewhat embarrassed to say, that we appear to have forgotten to list his University of Colorado JEOL 8230 lab as a customer of Probe Software!  That has now been rectified including a link to his lab web page (please scroll to the bottom to see it):

http://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

As many of you know Julien is a top geo-scientist (relocating to ETH Zurich in Switzerland later this spring), but he is also a very talented web designer, so I would like to take this opportunity and provide some links to his professional web pages which highlight his lab and the work they do there in Boulder:

http://geode.colorado.edu/~jallaz/index.php?page=microprobe

In particular please see the hardware & software page here:

http://geode.colorado.edu/~jallaz/index.php?page=microprobe&tab=Hardware

And especially his examples page which has some very beautiful quantitative x-ray maps and other items:

Owen Neill (one of our Probe Software consultants who performs software installation and training) sent us this pic from our first Probe Software installation in South Korea. Our Probe for EPMA and Probe Image software were installed on their new JEOL 8530 instrument. By all accounts Owen and Changkun (who has previously posted on these pages) had a wonderful time together this week, and were joined by their colleagues later in the week for discussion and demonstrations.

In attendance were: (from L-R), Dr. Keewook Yi (Korean Basic Science Institute), Dr. Changkun Park (KOPRI), Dr. Takenori Kato (Nagoya University), and Mr. Hwayoung Kim, (KOPRI).

Our complete customer list is available here:

http://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

Please scroll to the bottom of the page to see our most recent installations.

Probe Software is pleased to announce our latest installation at Queen's University in Canada on their JEOL 8230 instrument:

Remember to scroll to the bottom of the list for the most recent installations.

Owen Neil did the installation and training for Brian Joy there earlier this month and I believe a good time was had by all!    :D

Anette von der Handt is doing training for Probe for EPMA and Probe Image at Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa, with Yves Thibault and Katherine Venance, on their new JEOL 8230 instrument this week. Check our customer list for Probe Software installations:

https://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

Scroll to the bottom to see the latest installations (we don't announce every installation here!).

Yves and Katherine are Probe for EPMA veterans, so I'm sure everyone there is having a great time.

This morning we decided to re-order our Probe for EPMA/Probe Image customer list page so the most recent installations start at the top of the web page:

Now you can see the most recent Probe Software installations without having to scroll down to the bottom of the page!  Hey, think of all those mouse clicks you'll save!   ;)

Anyway, as you can see our most recent installation was on Malcolm Robert's new JEOL 8530.  The installation was performed by Karsten Goemann. This is Malcolm's second JEOL 8530, so both of his instruments are now running our Probe for EPMA and Probe Image software working alongside the JEOL PC-EPMA software for improved accuracy, precision and laboratory throughput!

Another satisfied customer!   8)

Since this summer we've had several new installations of our Probe for EPMA/Probe Image software on both Cameca and JEOL EPMA instruments, including our first sale in China at the University of Science and Technology in China, in the city of Hefei, on their new JEOL 8530F instrument:

https://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

We often get asked: how can we get the Probe for EPMA/Probe Image software in our lab? Well, of course one can buy our software and expert installation and training services directly from Probe Software:

https://probesoftware.com/Support.html

But another way is, when you purchase a new instrument from JEOL or Cameca, you can request our Probe Software products with on-site installation/training as a line item on the instrument vendor quotation. This was how the University of Science and Technology in China obtained our software. When our software is purchased with the new EPMA instrument, once JEOL is finished installing the instrument, we simply schedule one of our EPMA experts, and they visit your lab to work with you (and/or your lab manager) on the installation and training of Probe for EPMA and Probe Image software.  Usually for 5 or 6 days in total, sometimes in one session and sometimes in two sessions, whatever works best for everyone.

If you have any questions on our EPMA software product pricing or quotations please to write Barbara (barbara@probesoftware.com or me) at Probe Software directly:

Today Barbara and I started adding information to our customer list webpage for those labs that went with a non-default EDS system from JEOL or Cameca.

So that would be labs that have a JEOL instrument with a Thermo or Bruker EDS or a Cameca instrument with a Thermo EDS:

https://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

We couldn't always determine from our records which EDS each lab has, so if your EPMA instrument has a non standard EDS system and we haven't listed it, please contact us by email and we'll make the edit.

Julien Allaz recently pointed out to us that we had forgotten to add his ETH Zurich lab to our Customer Sites and Links page here:

https://probesoftware.com/Customer.html

This is probably because he had so much experience with our software, that he performed the Probe for EPMA software installation and configuration himself on his JEOL 8230 with just some email support, that the installation apparently "fell off our radar". Anyway, his lab has now been added.

By the way, if your lab is using our Probe Software applications on your EPMA instrument, you should, first make sure that your lab is indeed listed! And if it is, please check that the link to your facility web pages is working by clicking on your lab. We try to keep those links updated, but sometimes they change...
