Read All button behavior
« on: April 15, 2016, 06:12:18 PM »
In the Setup | Acquisition dialog, the Read All button seen here:

has a behavior I hadn't noticed before.

And that is, if the Faraday cup is out and this button is clicked, the program inserts the Faraday cup for an instant, apparently to read the beam current for the Column Conditions tab.

Now, it does say Read All.  But is this the behavior we want? Maybe only if the Use Current Instrument Conditions checkbox is *unchecked*?

What do you all think the behavior of this button should be?

Hi John,

It makes most sense to me to read the beam current with the beam size and accelerating voltage on the Column Conditions tab.
