Problems with PI after updating to Version 11

When updating to version 11 of Probe for EPMA the confiuration files are moved to another folder (as discussed http://probesoftware.com/smf/index.php?topic=40.0).  As ProbeImage uses these files this causes it to not load due to missing the files (see images) and then the programme crashes meaning you cannot remedy the situation.  This can be 'fixed' one of two ways:

• Change the default paths for element file and scalers file before updating PfE, these need to be C:\ProgramData\Probe Software\Probe for EPMA\
• Copy scalers.dat into the old folder (C:\Probe Software\Probe for EPMA) and this will allow PI to start without crashing and then change the default folders

Please note that C:\ProgramData\Probe Software\Probe for EPMA\ is a hidden folder.

I could be wrong but I think the v. 1.2.1 of Probe Image will allow PI to load without crashing even if the scalers.dat and probewin.elm files are missing or in the wrong folder. Then one can just browse for them from the Setup | Probe Setup menu dialog.

By the way, the latest version of the JEOL and Cameca drivers will search for the new ProgramData location, and if that fails will search in the old location.  Please let us know if you need the latest driver file from Probe Software...
