ProbeImage.ini File

For your information here is where the ProbeImage.ini files are stored:

Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Probe Software\Probe Image           <- user settings
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Probe Software\Probe Image         <- application settings

Windows 7:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Probe Software\Probe Image          <- user settings
C:\ProgramData\Probe Software\Probe Image                                         <- application settings

I take it these can be copied over from the XP locations to the win7 locations?

And here lies the rub. They are what they are and where they are supposed to be in xp. but user settings to go in docs & settings/user/app data/roaming/....... there is no PS folder.

To change the driver logging level for Probe Image (useful for debugging start up issues), simply change the LogLevel parameter in the ProbeImage.ini file as seen in this location:



to 2 for detailed driver event logging.

0 = no logging
1 = brief logging
2 - detailed logging

It's not under "docs & settings".  It's under C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Probe Software...

I think with the new version of ProbeImage and the changes in probeimage.ini yu can't edit logging here. Instead you do it within the PI GUI - Setup - probe image steup - application log settings.
