Quantify kratios using stoichometry and element by difference
« on: December 10, 2018, 02:24:53 AM »
Hi,

I'm trying to quantify kratios with oxygen by stocihometry and Si by difference for trace elements in quartz, using quant with oByStoic set to true and elmByDif set to Si,

however the element by difference Si is calculated without stoichometry, so Si equals 0.9999 mass fraction, oxygen equals 1.139 mass fraction, and total equals 2.14 mass fraction.

Is this just impossible, or is there a way to do it. Should I be using assumedStoic, and how do I enter it?

Thanks

Ben

So assumedStoic is a red herring, it relates to an element (not oxygen) calculated by stoichometry. Stoichometry for oByStoic are as follows:

The default stoichiometries as defined in epq.Oxidizer are used unless a custom oxidizer is specified.
