PeakSight 4.0 logger.exe unexpected feature
« on: October 31, 2018, 01:51:28 PM »
Don't worry, it doesn't affect anything permanently, but, please enjoy this fun little quirk I found today with the logger program in PeakSight 4.0 (see attached image)

I double checked the log file on disk just to make sure, but modifying text in the window doesn't affect what's going to disk, which is good considering A) the first (quite unflattering) thing I typed in when I discovered the 'feature' and B) you can highlight and delete/overwrite large swaths of the text quite easily - Ctl-A will highlight everything and deleting it will leave you with a blank display.

Interesting.

In PFE if you are logging the log window output to a file, it will automatically add any text typed in the log window to the log file, so you can add comments as it goes along.
The only stupid question is the one not asked!
