Example of Remote server usefulness
« on: October 21, 2013, 09:56:39 AM »
Since no one has posted on this forum thread yet I figured I would be the first and post here an example that have used in our lab.

The problem we had was we wanted to acquire wavescans in different ways (ie not always right to left in sin theta units) to see if direction of the wavescan actually might affect the peak position slightly.  The screen grabs I have posted are the main block diagrams (this is a LabView program) and front panel in the code.

Using PfEPMA's COM server we were able to program our probe to run wavescans in the opposite direction, in a random fashion, and starting at the peak center moving out.

If anyone wants a copy of this code to try on their machine please email me (pgopon@geology.wisc.edu).

Cheers,

phil
