Rescuing corrupt peak and pha scans
« on: February 03, 2016, 07:23:13 AM »
Hi

Any way to rescue corrupt peak and pha scans. I set the instrument going yesterday doing peak up and pha scans on 35 elements to construct my empirical PHA's when I opened the file today and clicked "Display, Fit and Export Spectrometer Peaking and PHA scans" I get the message titled ScanDataPlotFitUpdate saying "Less than three data points in thresholded scan data for peak fit",

Can I get at and mend this data or I'm I best recollecting the data

Thanks

Ben

Hi Ben,
That's odd.   I assume this is just for one of the PHA scans?  It's odd because the PHA scans don't have a "threshold", only the peaking scans have a "threshold", except when using the "highest intensity" peak fit.

Maybe send me the MDB file, and I'll take a look.

Thanks

Hi Ben,
Nice catch!  There was a bug in the Peaking/PHA display code!

Anyway, I fixed it and placed a temp version of PFE exe on Dropbox (sent you an invite) for you to try. So go ahead and download that, copy it to the PFE app folder (Program Files (x86)\Probe Software\Probe for EPMA), and you should be good to go.

I'll update the normal PFE update sites tonight...

No worries!

I suspect the bug was from my recent "mulching over" of the code to implement the new graphics library. Nice scans looking scans by the way!

Ben,
The peaking/PHA scan dialog display bug is fixed and the new version is ready to download from the Help menu in PFE.
