Fayalite standard?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any good/trustworthy fayalite and/or hedenbergite standards they could part with.

Hi Phil,
My favorite fayalite is the Oak Ridge Fayalite grown by Lynn Boatner. Perfectly homogeneous single crystal with no metal blebs.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any more material available. He told me it was the last when he originally sent me the piece I had, and I've written him recently and had no response.

This is one of the "crowd sourced" standard materials that we could grow after the Cs standard is finished... and you can vote for it here:

Very cool!  Looks like Fe2SiO4 is second only to the Cs standard based on popularity...

Did you buy a gram of the RbTiOPO4 for $100 to help fund this standard material "crowd sourcing" effort?   The more people that buy their gram of RbTiOPO4, the sooner we can start bulk production of the next standard.
