Determination of coating thickness
« on: February 02, 2024, 12:25:19 AM »
Hi all, i want to determine coating thickness of a sample using Badgerfilm. It is a powder sample containing round (not perfect round) particles with about 5um in diameter. These particles consist of Li, Mn, Ni, Co, O in the core and coated with Li, P, S, Cl from the outside. The coating thickness can range from 20 nm to 1um. It can be a challenging sample due to being prone to electron beam damage, heterogeneity in the thickness of the coatings, and  being round in shape. Can you please let me know your thoughts on the feasibility of this test, and what factors i should focus on to obtain a good result. Any advice and guidance will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
