Pathfinder 200 eV cutoff
« on: April 12, 2019, 10:09:54 AM »
Does anyone know of a way to have Thermo Pathfinder not use a default 200 eV cutoff value when triggered by Probe for EPMA? No matter what I do when I change the Low Energy Cutoff value in Pathfinder and save it once an analysis starts from PfE the 200 eV default cutoff is automatically selected.

Thanks,
DAve

Hi Dave,

Maybe  you have done these things, but here are two ideas:
1. Before beginning the acquisition with PfE, acquire an EDS spectrum from Pathfinder with the desired low energy cutoff. Then use PfE to acquire.
2. Create a Pathfinder project that has acquired spectra with the desired low energy cutoff. Then create a new project in that project and acquire data with PfE.

Let me know if either of these options help.

Thanks Steve!

I'll give those things a try
