The latest version of PFE (10.7.7) now automatically updates your Probewin.ini file for all new keywords.  It was just too much trouble to try and keep everyone's INI files up to date (even for my lab), so now it will be easier...

After running 10.7.7, go ahead and open your probewin.ini file and note the new keywords that can be modified for your preferences.

Not sure why I didn't think of this before... but I'll soon add code to automatically add a keyword and the default value to the INI file if it isn't already there.

Automatic updating of missing keywords in the probewin.ini file is now implemented in PFE v. 10.8.1 and later...

New keywords will be set to a "safe" default value when they are added and you can expect to find these new entries at the end of each section, e.g., the [faraday] section of the probewin.ini file.

At Paul Carpenter's request I added a new keyword to the Probewin.ini file [software] section:

DisplayFullScanRangeForAcquisitionFlag=0      ; zero = expand automatically, non-zero = force full scan range

The difference can be seen here for, DisplayFullScanRangeForAcquisitionFlag=0

and with the flag turned on (non-zero), DisplayFullScanRangeForAcquisitionFlag=1

Some people care about these things!

That makes me irrationally happy. Thanks Paul and John!

Should I make the fixed width x-axis flag (= non zero), the default?
