Does Cancel "work" during PHA scan (JEOL vs. Cameca)

John Fournelle reports that Philippe Pinard seems to not be able to cancel a PHA scan once it is started on his 8530. 

We tested this today on my Sx100 and it seems to cancel properly. Below is the debug mode text of running a PHA scan *prior* to the peaking from the Acquire! window, and canceling after a few points have been acquired.

Note this behavior maybe quite different once I implement the new MCA (multi-channel-analyzer) methods for PHA scanning.

Here's a bias also canceled properly during acquisition (again on the Cameca SX100):
