Eds Link EXL
« on: October 01, 2016, 02:34:34 PM »
Dear colleagues,
in our lab in Rome we have a 25 years old SX50 microprobe equipped  with 5 spectrometers and  EDS system ExL Link Analytical (detector
pentafet LN2) in front position. It is still working hard with good  results but  unfortunately the EDS system multichannel is definitively
out and  we tried  to change it with a multichannel ISIS 200 but it  did not work ( may be different bias voltage due to  unacceptable
resolution at low energy and instability).

Then we are looking for another very cheap Eds system (sdd and  electronics because we don’t know if our LN2 detector is still ok )
compatible with Sx50, to perform just qualitative analysis.

Did anyone already experiment a similar solution?  Any suggestion is welcome

Thanks

Hi,
recently found this forum and got a membership now.

I worked with a LINK eXL Device from 1990 to 2001 and could do amazing measurements with this exciting device,
as correlating mappings with sample current maps etc.

I still have a LINK eXL II including latest hard- and software, as well as technical manuals.
There are also 2 ISIS Tower devices incl. software, cables etc. to sell.

If this topic is still valid, please drop me a note.

Thanks
