Organization Announcement

Jesse Olson Appointed DVP, Business Unit Manager for Cameca Business Unit

It is with great pleasure that I announce Jesse Olson as the new Division Vice President, Business Unit
Manager of CAMECA effective December 8th. Jesse will reside in Madison, Wisconsin, and will be
responsible for the business unit leadership.

Jesse will be replacing Jean-Charles (JC) Chen who is vacating his position of Division Vice President,
Business Unit Manager effective December 8, 2017. JC will focus his time and attention on leading the
Global Sales & Service function, and transitioning responsibilities to the new Business Unit Leader, as
well as to a new Directeur General (Gennevilliers site leader) until his departure in May 2018. JC has
served the organization well, and we thank him for his leadership of the business unit, the Gennevilliers
location of CAMECA, and his past role leading Sales & Services.

Jesse became part of the CAMECA family when Imago was acquired in 2010. Jesse joined Imago during
its infancy in 2000, and growing with the company to eventually manage R&D, engineering and
manufacturing from concept through prototype development, implementation, commercialization and
production. He was responsible for key business processes including product life cycle management
(PLC), engineering change management (ECR), supply chain management, production planning, and
strategic planning. Jesse also co-authored multiple US and international patents. He contributed to the
successful commercialization of the Local Electrode Atom Probe (LEAP), a new type of atom probe
microscope which was literally orders of magnitude faster than any previous atom probe. After the
acquisition, Jesse became the Country Director and was responsible for North American operations of
Cameca, headquartered at the Madison location. In addition to his technical skills, he has proven to be
business-oriented, always focused on the customer and exhibiting financial management capabilities.
Jesse understands how detailed the production side of CAMECA is, which has earned him the respect
of many of our technical experts.

Jesse obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University, a PhD in Electrical &
Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, a post-doctoral fellowship from the Stanford
University, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Jesse will be introduced to CAMECA SAS employees next week, and he will also be reaching out to key
leadership employees in the coming days and weeks.

Please join me in congratulating Jesse on his promotion, and supporting his transition into the broader
CAMECA organization.

Tony
